Steve Aoki Neon Future III

Steve Aoki – Neon Future III

Steve Aoki has been ranked as the #11 top DJ, according to DJMag. This rating has brought him down two levels since 2017. He has recently produced a brand-new album entitled “Neon Future III”. Neon Future III is a wonderfully put together album that really does take you on a journey into the future. The sounds take you on a journey into your future, the lyrics constantly remind you to live in the moment. Life will pass us by if we don’t slow it down.

Music Savant’s Top 3 Tracks from Steve Aoki’s Neon Future III album. There are great jams throughout this entire album, but these are the tracks that I personally fell in love with. I hope that you enjoy my picks and explanations on why I chose each song. Feel free to comment with your top tracks that are on this album.

1.     Golden Days – (Featuring Jim Adkins)

“Golden Days” has been a phrase in the English language for as long as I can remember. As we get older we don’t realize we are in the golden days until we reach 80+. This song is a reminder to live in the moment and make every second another contribution to the golden day at hand.

2. Pretender - (Featuring Lil Yachty and A&R)

I feel like normal people are always looking for an escape. We watch sports, music award shows and Netflix almost daily. These sources of entertainment provide everyday people with an escape from a life that they may not be fully satisfied with. We all have our favorite athlete, musician and Netflix show (with characters we love). I feel like Steve Aoki is hitting the listener’s heart with this song because it’s saying that we all pretend to be like people that we would rather be, when in reality we are perfect the way we are. When the synth hits the pretender is extinguished and the self-acceptance is brought to light.

3.     Our Love Glows – (Featuring Lady Antebellum)

With social media and technology controlling the majority of our lives, it’s as if people only post pictures of their love. Sure, their life and relationship status look great through social media, but does it glow in the dark? Steve Aoki is telling his fans that love needs to shine even in the darkest moments. That love needs to shine whether it’s with your partner in life, passion, or job. No matter what, let that love glow in the dark. I also love the beat with this track because it varies away from the classic kick, kick, kick, kick EDM beat.
