A Music Savant Review - JESUS IS KING by Kanye West

JESUS IS KING is Kanye West's latest album. It has a total of eleven tracks and is mostly based on Jesus. Personally, I feel as if Kanye West made this album in order to cover up his past persona. Kanye West has generally been viewed as the "bad guy" in the public view. Most conversations I've had with friends and family involving Kanye West end with this quote "he makes great music but he's a little crazy." I'm all for second chances so maybe Kanye West is a changed man and is creating a new image for his music. JESUS IS KING comes off as a confessional for Kanye West and his past mistakes. Faith is a big part of the world as a whole and I could see Kanye making this album for business reasons because he is an intelligent artist who could be seeking a new market. That new market would include religious people. This album didn't really hit me with any strong vibes (even though it is about Jesus).

Music Savant ranks this album as 6/10.
